Just out of the blue....
D... "Mommy... who do we come back as?"
Me... "Back from where, Babe?"
D... "When we die"
Me *gulp*... "Well, many people have many different answers to that question."
He comes into my arms for a hug.
D... "Well... I don't want to come back as anyone else.... I just want to be ME"
Me... "Well... be YOU and be the best YOU that YOU can BE... then you don't have to worry"
With tears in my eyes...
he looks up at me with tears on his cheeks and says....
"Ok... I will".
